NEW YORK, NY, June 18, 2018 — Corian^® Design, a leading design resource with an evolving and expanding offering of materials, surfaces and solutions, continues to inspire designers and their clients to “Make Your Space^TM.” And now they’ve taken the next step in inviting them to “Meet the Corian They Never Knew” and better understand just what Corian^® Design products can do. Together with their creative agency partner McKinney, they are introducing the Corian^® Moodboard Maker. This next-level tool enables designers and their clients to explore the world of limitless possibilities that Corian^® Design offers, while giving them a better, faster, more sophisticated way to work and collaborate.

Taking what was once an exercise in assembling images clipped from magazines, fabric swatches, drawings, Polaroids and even elements like peacock feathers and matchbooks, the new Corian^® Moodboard Maker web app pulls designers and homeowners into the future, letting them create reference collections for every room in a home, quickly and easily.

“When you design a space, you’re not just putting together a room. You’re combining materials, textures and furnishings to tell a story about who you are and what matters to you,” said Julie Eaton, vice president & general manager for Corian^® Design. “We wanted to create a more inspiring experience for the design process to enable customization in a way that could be easily shared or live on as an art piece once a project is complete.”

“We built the Corian^® Moodboard Maker to help inspire the creative process, and to bring Corian^® Design in at the beginning of the design phase — when people are searching for inspiration and ideas,” said McKinney Group Creative Director Will Dean. “Corian^® Design is a creative brand, and this tool will help people pull together their visual influences in a new, artistic way. Here’s how the Corian^® Moodboard Maker works:

First, users choose a style that suits the mood they’re looking for — from organic to refined or from modern to bohemian.
Then, they fill a distinctive mosaic shape with swatches of Corian^® Solid Surface or Corian^® Quartz. They can use images, patterns and textures they choose using preloaded options, or upload images of their own.
Once completed, users can save their Corian^® Moodboard, share it socially, or print it. In addition, users can order a framed print of their Moodboard, suitable to hang in the room it inspired.

As part of the launch, Corian^® Design will be promoting the Moodboard Maker with several custom programs, including working with Design Milk and Bobby Berk, star of the Netflix show, “Queer Eye,” partnering with Domino and Libby Langdon, and inviting 50 key influencers from the U.S., U.K., Germany, France, Brazil and Mexico to create moodboards of their own.
