We know it. And now the world does, too. Durham is a great place to live, work and, yes, eat. According to The New York Times, Durham is one of the top “41 places to go in 2011.”
Touting Durham’s revitalized downtown and food scene as worth the trip, the article and accompanying slideshow mentioned McKinney favorites Scratch, Rue Cler, Parker and Otis, and Revolution.
The article noted that downtown’s revitalization has come a long way in the past decade, during which old tobacco warehouses (like McKinney’s) and textile mills were transformed into prime mixed-use space, and restaurateurs were drawn to affordable space in the city center.
