Maximizing small budgets so you can sleep at night

Marpac, a niche white noise sleep machine company, needed to stand out and attract broader attention as it prepared for expansion to selling mattresses and more. While most category marketing is fear-based, reinforcing sleep as a problem, we positioned sleep as something to be enjoyed. Then, we put our entire budget behind The Competitive Sleeping League Championship, an unorthodox 4-hour “sporting” event broadcast on Facebook Live.


  • 2.5 million engaged views
  • 5.4K shares,  7.7K comments and 9.1K Facebook reactions during event
  • Shares grew to 8.2K, comments grew to 9.6K, and Facebook reactions tripled to 28K from viewers watching recap videos, highlights and replays of the CSL Championship

From fifth to first in just 20 months!

Prior to our Right At Home campaign, Samsung Home Appliances was little more than an emerging presence in category, competing against legacy brands like Maytag, GE and Whirlpool. Those brands tended to reflect a very traditional view of home life in which appliances exist to manage chores. To break from this crowd, we leveraged Samsung’s technology credentials to reach a group of affluent millennials whose chaotic home life is something to celebrate and enjoy. We used celebrity couple Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard to bring the idea to life.
