Alan started ATOMCK, a consultancy that combines brand science and creative fire, after successfully building his last company to inclusion in the Inc. 500, and he has founded or served as an executive for eight startups. “There is nothing quite like the start,” he says. “It’s raw — it’s limitless and bounded at the same time. It’s about creating enough force to get liftoff even if the only thing propelling you is your passion and enthusiasm for what you hope to do. There is no better drug of higher power.”

As both an entrepreneur and strategist, Alan believes deeply in the power of brands: “Brands have the power to disgust us and define our position, motivate us to change, or propel us to be better people. Harnessing this power is the hard part, because brands actually reside in the minds of others, not marketers.”
