McKinney’s Patel and Barnes on “Life after Cookies”

In the second installment of MediaPost’s “Life After Cookies” series, McKinney Executive Director of Media Swap Patel and Director of Programmatic & Media Analytics Greg Barnes gave their take on what a cookieless future looks like for brands and their agencies.

In particular, they focused on Google’s decision to stop supporting third-party cookies by 2022, with Barnes noting that the impending change is a “needed push for the industry” that will help move things “in a better direction.” Patel believes the first step agency partners should take with clients is to “have the right conversations with each client to roadmap the way forward,” with the aim of educating while mitigating risks for clients.
