New Crocs AR lens puts its best foot forward
Two years ago, Snapchatters could literally put Crocs on their heads — effectively keeping the brand top-of-mind among a younger, socially engaged audience. Fast forward to the summer of 2020, and we now have an evolved Crocs AR lens. Thanks to newly launched foot-mapping technology, Snapchatters all over the world are virtually strutting in their Crocs. You can give it a try for yourself, all you have to do is type, “Try on Crocs” in the Snap search bar.
“With so many people not going to retail locations due to the global pandemic, the revamped Crocs Snapchat lens offers a fun, timely, and realistic virtual try-on experience,” said Nicole Donahue, associate media director. “We’ve also added a new element of personalization — allowing users to drag and drop different Jibbitz into their Crocs.”
Now we’re targeting lookalike audiences of purchasers to engage with both current Crocs lovers and new fans of the brand. “We’re thrilled with the success of the activation to-date. We’re seeing Snapchatters spending almost a minute per session and share rates as high as 20% in some markets,” Lauren Woolard, media supervisor added. “It’s surprising to see playtime performance exceeding Snapchat benchmarks by 4x, but then again, it’s not. People have tremendous appetite for levity in a year that’s unlike any other.”
The Crocs Snapchat lens is available through next summer — giving you plenty of time to enjoy it again and again!
