Durham is masking up to Get Back on the Bull
It’s good to see people paying attention to our “Let’s Get Back on the Bull” collab with Duke’s Center for Advanced Hindsight and the City of Durham that’s designed to help Bull City restaurants and businesses — and its people — reopen our city safely as we battle COVID-19.
A recent WRAL.com article gave a shout-out to Durham businesses following the guidelines and safe practices (Wear a mask, wash your hands, and practice social distancing!) that are front and center in our campaign. And the article features the Durham Food Hall — which actually saw its grand opening smackdab in the middle of the coronavirus outbreak — as a hub of small businesses that are doing the right thing and fully enforcing the guidelines.
Our Chief Strategy Officer Walt Barron, who believes Durham has what it takes to see this thing through, also weighed in. “If we want to reopen our city, we all have to take proper actions or else it’s not going to work,” Barron said. He went on to add, “We’ve been knocked down. We’ve kind of taken our hits, but we’re ready to fight back.”
