QuickFit takes the prize at fourth NCCU Marketing Challenge
The North Carolina Central University Marketing Challenge returned to McKinney on Thursday, marking the fourth installment of the initiative. The NCCU students, tasked with creating a two-week promotion for a product or event, presented to McKinney judges via Zoom due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The students were split into five groups, and their ideas ranged from a company promoting healthy lifestyles to a dating app that pairs users based on their musical tastes. In the end, the team that pitched “QuickFit,” an app that creates outfits for users based on clothes already in their closet, won the $100 gift cards.
“We always see great ideas come out of this challenge every semester, and we’re consistently impressed with the level of thought, design, and effort that the students put into their presentations,” said Talent Specialist Sarah Buddo. “Even with the challenges that come with being remote, these students were able to adapt and still produce outstanding results.”
