Last week, McKinneyites visited our Durham neighbors at North Carolina Central University, teaching three days of classes to marketing and mass communications students. Walt Barron, Sarah Buddo, Chase Condrone, and Melanie Wallace provided the downlow on advertising, shared agency work, and discussed career opportunities in the industry. In addition to spending time in the classroom, McKinney hosted an afternoon reception, giving students the opportunity for more in-depth conversation to gain a better understanding of our crazy world.
“Speaking at NCCU is a really awesome experience, and it’s just as useful for us as it is for them,” said Copywriter Chase Condrone. “To hear students talk about the conversations brands are having with them and the way ads feel on the outside of the industry bubble is really eye-opening.”
