Adweek reports on McKinney’s new CEO
Adweek broke the news Monday that McKinney will soon have a new CEO.
Brad Brinegar, McKinney’s chairman and CEO since 2002, has named Joe Maglio as his successor. Maglio, who has been CEO of the agency’s New York office for the past year, will become CEO of the agency on October 1. Brinegar will remain active as chairman of McKinney through at least 2020.
In the Adweek story, Brinegar explained choosing Maglio as McKinney’s new leader. “Last year, I began thinking about succession, and as part of that, we decided we were going to make a change in our New York leadership,” Brinegar said. “I was careful in filling that role to pick someone who I thought could be a candidate down the road. After working with him and getting to know him, it became clear to me that he’s the right guy to become the CEO of McKinney.”
