Framepool and McKinney present the world’s first “Earth Porn” video on Earth Day

Viewers challenged to love Mother Earth harder

Durham, NC April 21, 2016 — The film stock company Framepool, in partnership with ad agency McKinney, has released a 90-second video called “Earth Porn” featuring their footage of hard rocks, soaking wet water and wood, among other naturally sensual nature images. The collection of landscape shots begins with (hard) rock formations and concludes with a prolonged volcanic eruption. The end card reads, “When it comes to Earth, every emission counts.”

“This project is a perfect fit for us,” said Peter Carstens, Framepool COO. “Our archive of high-quality footages enables creative filmmakers to make their vision a reality without having to board a plane, rent a helicopter or hire a bus driver. We’re committed to making low-emission projects possible and gorgeous. ‘Earth Porn’ proves both.”

McKinney Group Creative Director Stevie Archer explained, “Earth porn has long been Earth lovers’ term for topographic eye candy. And on the one day of the year when the whole world is talking about loving the planet, it was logical to create an actual film that taps into that passion. We’re enticing people with lust-worthy imagery, then reminding them that they can easily do something to help preserve it.”

The footage focuses on majestic landscapes and epic scenery from around the world, all pulled from Framepool’s archives. Combined with a custom 1970’s porn soundtrack created by Beacon Street, dirt is dirty, bushes are bushes, and geysers are the ultimate release. McKinney has used Framepool footage for clients in the past and worked with Beacon Street on soundtracks for multiple client spots.
