Samsung work wins an Effie Award
The creativity and outstanding results of our 2015 Home Appliances campaign featuring Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard earned us an Effie Award.
We used the real-life charm and humor of a real-life husband and wife to speak to a new generation of homeowners about a category not normally associated with the mobile giant. The effort boosted brand awareness 53% and saw a 37% increase in sales in the category.
“The Effies are any agency’s most recognized and most powerful proof of results,” said CEO Brad Brinegar. “This is McKinney’s 37th Effie award since we started entering in 2003. I couldn’t be prouder of the teams behind this great work.”
Jonathan Cude, our chief creative officer, has worked with Kristen and Dax on all Samsung work by McKinney. “They make the work fun because they truly enjoy the products and because they help determine the direction and content of each spot,” he explained. “Of course, it also takes a great client partner that has faith in the agency and our production partners. The trust that the Home Appliance team at Samsung has given us is what’s made it possible.”
Work for two other clients, Sherwin-Williams and Crocs, were named finalists this year as well. The awards gala is June 2.
