Former BSSP creative director trades West Coast for McKinney, Sox and Pats in that order

Durham, NC November 30, 2015 — Lyle Yetman has made the move from California to North Carolina to be McKinney’s newest group creative director, working primarily on CarMax and ESPN.

“As a GCD at McKinney, I hope to do award-winning work, bring in a ton of new business and be regarded as the nicest Boston sports fan in the building,” said Yetman. Chief Creative Officer Jonathan Cude looks forward to working with him. “I’d heard a lot about Lyle and his work before he decided to make the move to the Triangle,” said Cude. “He has a passion for the industry and for finding the best ways to connect brands to what people really care about. That’s a killer combination. However, he has very questionable taste when it comes to sports, so we had to get over that hurdle.”

At Butler, Shine, Stern & Partners, Yetman started as a copywriter and became a creative director on award-winning work for MINI, Priceline and DraftKings.com. During his 11 years at BSSP, he also worked on Converse, Google, Chipotle, Sprite and El Pollo Loco, among other brands. Yetman brings with him a belief that strong brands are grown with the right stories planted in the right places.

An avid skier, sailor and reformed actor, Yetman now lives in Chapel Hill with his wife, two sons and a dog named Watson.
