Liz Paradise in paradise as Art Directors Club advertising jury member
McKinney group account director Liz Paradise was one of 14 jurors in Costa Rica last month critiquing the Art Directors Club award submissions in the advertising category.
“We spent five days reviewing primarily print and broadcast work,” said Liz. “The importance of focusing on insights gained from real-life truths and tapping into relatable consumer experiences are still the keys to good advertising,” said Liz. “Because if consumers have an emotional reaction — if they laugh or cry, gasp or sigh — they will more likely remember and connect with the brand.”
Other advertising jury members spending time in conference rooms and sandy beaches included BBDO Executive Creative Director Toygar Bazarkaya, CP&B Creative Director Robin Fitzgerald and TBWA\Chiat\Day Americas Creative Director Tito Melega. This international group was led by the executive creative director of Droga5, Ted Royer.
