McKinney brings home two CLIOs
At the 2012 CLIO Awards, McKinney won its first-ever PR award, a gold CLIO, as well as a silver award in the Interactive/Microsite/Website category.
Both CLIOs were awarded to SPENT, McKinney’s online game about living on the edge of poverty and homelessness.
The show, one of the worlds most recognized awards competitions, honors excellence in advertising, design and communications. “It’s so gratifying that SPENT continues to win at all the top shows,” said McKinney Partner and Director of Agency Communications Janet Northen. “But to earn a gold CLIO for PR, well, that’s particularly sweet. The truth is that SPENT is a powerful online experience with a story that begs to be told again and again. We were able to attract the world’s top news organizations to help us build awareness of the game that’s now been played well over 2 million times in almost 200 countries. And we haven’t stopped yet.”
