The Pherotones integrated campaign for Oasys Mobile introduced the public to a fictitious character named Dr. Myra Vanderhood through the Web, traditional media and live appearances. The doctor had recently discovered ringtones that attract the opposite sex – Pherotones. She shared her findings with consumers that included “Pherotones for him and her,” as well as downloadable viral videos that proved the existence of Pherotones. During Valentine’s week, OasysMobile.com was launched. At that time, Dr. Vanderhood announced Oasys as the exclusive distributor for Pherotones. The campaign was a finalist in The One Show Interactive and earned both Silver and Bronze at the 2007 Effie Awards. It was also the winner of the 2007 Webby People's Choice Award for Best Integrated Campaign.
