Janet was one of the first to apply strategic corporate communications to build agency brands. She was The Martin Agency’s first director of agency communications and held the same post later at Fallon and again in 1999 when she joined McKinney. Her work has earned international media for the agency’s talked-about work in the marketplace. In 2009, Janet inspired the formation of the IAB’s Agency Advisory Board that serves as the voice of creativity to its publisher members. She has chaired the 4A’s Agency Communications Committee and is on the board of the UNC School of Journalism and Mass Communication. In 2012, she led McKinney to its first gold CLIO in PR for SPENT, the online game about surviving poverty and homelessness.
