    McKinney's Photo Booth is a fun, new way to connect on Valentine's Day

    Meet Me in the Photo Booth lets visitors rendezvous live via webcam and captures the moment photo-booth style

    Ad agency McKinney is releasing its latest digital creation, Meet Me in the Photo Booth, just in time for Valentine’s Day. Launching today, the Web app allows users to invite friends and loved ones to enter a virtual photo booth, capture the moment and share the photos on Facebook and Twitter or download them for print.

    Meet Me in the Photo Booth is built on the OpenTok platform from TokBox. OpenTok enables Web developers to weave live group video chat into any website or application. Developers can customize everything from the size, layout, motion and interaction of individual video streams to who can see, hear and talk to whom.

    “Photo Booth lets you share a moment whether you’re across the office or on the other side of the world,” said Jenny Nicholson, a copywriter at McKinney who teamed with Art Director Nick Jones. “We all cherish the moments we’ve spent behind those curtains as we laugh, make funny faces and, well, behave in ways we might not otherwise. Photo Booth captures them all and, thanks to friends at OpenTok, you can save or share your photos and even take more.”

    How it works

    • Visit meetmeinthephotobooth.com and schedule a time for you and your friend (or lover) to meet.

    • Look for an email with a link for your rendezvous sent to you and the person you invited.

    • When it’s time, connect your webcam and share a moment together, virtually.

    • Save or share the photos taken to document your Photo Booth experience.

    • Do it again!

    To encourage people to get creative with Meet Me in the Photo Booth, McKinney will host a competition to see who can create the most clever, fun, quirky Photo Booth experience. From their Twitter account, @McKinney will call for submissions via tweets and announce the winner on Friday, February 10. The prize? McKinney will ship a giant, 40oz box of Valentine’s chocolates anywhere in the world to the winner of the competition to share with that special someone on Valentines Day.
