The best agencies enter the Effies, the world’s top competition rewarding communications-driven business success. But few sport a decade-long winning streak like McKinney’s.
Effie Worldwide announced yesterday that McKinney has won five 2012 Effie Awards, the most of any independent agency. A look at all the winners shows McKinney ranks fifth overall in this year’s competition.
McKinney’s 2012 Effies came from a record 13 finalists for Sherwin-Williams, Abbott’s EAS Sports Nutrition, Lenovo, Urban Ministries of Durham, Gold’s Gym, Qwest/CenturyLink and Travelocity. McKinney also won five Effies in 2006 for Audi of America, Travelocity and the Full Frame Documentary Film Festival.
“With this year’s wins, we’ve brought home a total of 29 Effies in 10 years,” said McKinney CEO Brad Brinegar. “That gives us a cumulative decade-long ranking of ninth out of 205 winning agencies. And when you look at Effies per client fee dollar, no other agency comes close.”
Gold, silver and bronze Effies will be unveiled at the Effie Gala on May 23 in New York.
