The CLIO Awards today announced the winners in one of the world’s most recognized awards competitions honoring excellence in advertising, design and communications. SPENT, McKinney’s online game about living on the edge of poverty and homelessness, has won gold in the Public Relations/Cause Related category and silver in the Interactive/Microsite/Website category.
The CLIO Awards celebrate outstanding creative achievements in 16 media categories including Film (television/cinema, online, mobile), Interactive (apps, games, social media), Print (copywriting, photography, typography) and Content & Contact, which recognizes groundbreaking campaigns that use both traditional and nontraditional forms of advertising to minimize the barrier between content and target audience.
The international competition received more than 11,000 submissions from countries as far-reaching as Vietnam, Tunisia and Saudi Arabia, while agencies from Germany, Brazil and the United States led the field with the most submissions shortlisted.
The awards will take place at New York City’s American Museum of Natural History on Tuesday, May 15, at 6:30 PM.
