The UNC Advertising Club hosted its fourth annual Advertising Career Symposium on the morning of February 22 in the Great Hall of the Student Union. Over 150 students attended to mingle with industry leaders during panels and round table discussions covering everything from job interviews to the latest trends in marketing. McKinney CEO Brad Brinegar gave the keynote address – but not before receiving a memorable introduction from Atlanta-based rapper (and UNC ’07 alum) Chris Citero. Emerging from the audience in suit and tie, Citero made his way to the stage while dropping verses that encouraged students to “differentiate [themselves]” and “create [their] own brand.” He closed by skillfully detailing some of the highlights of Brad’s career.
