Advertising campaign to raise awareness of homelessness

May 29, 2009 The Herald Sun

If you happen to be walking on Ninth Street this weekend, look closely and you may notice tiny figures of homeless people under signs. This is not an art exhibit, but rather part of an ad campaign. This unique outdoor advertising is part of a marketing campaign put together by McKinney in connection with Urban Ministries of Durham. Its purpose is to raise awareness of the growing homeless problem in Durham. “The campaign works to really stop people in their tracks and get them to look at homelessness in a way they never have before,” said Jonathan Cude, McKinney Chief Creative Officer.
