McKinney's SPENT, the online game about surviving poverty and homelessness, today won a Webby Award in the Game or Application category.
The agency will be honored at the annual ceremony on Monday, May 21, in New York.
"This year saw many incredibly inspiring, funny and most of all game-changing campaigns in the advertising and marketing space," said David-Michel Davies, executive director of The Webby Awards. "We are excited to be able to once again honor agencies and brands that truly understand how to connect and engage with consumers."
Hailed as the "Internet's highest honor" by The New York Times, The Webby Awards is the leading international award honoring excellence on the Internet, including websites, interactive advertising and media, online film and video, and mobile and apps. Established in 1996, The 16th Annual Webby Awards received nearly 10,000 entries from all 50 states and more than 60 countries worldwide. The Webby Awards is presented by The International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (IADAS).
